Who’s going to see the Sox play the Yankees at Fenway this summer? That would be me.

Ta dah! See the little arrow leading from my oh-so-large skull to Loge Box Section B113 at Fenway Park, home of the 2004 World Champion Boston Red Sox? That is where the lovely Kimberly and I will be sitting for the Aug. 21 Red Sox vs. Yankees game—which, incidentally, is the final home game against the Yankees for the 2006 regular season.
We’ve never been to a Sox vs. Yankees game—and we almost didn’t get tickets to this one. In typical “How the hell can this be happening to me right now?” fashion, my Internet connection dropped out for the first time since I’ve lived here, just as tickets were going on sale. My iMac even spontaneously launched some “Your Internet Connection Is All Fricked Up” application I have never before laid eyes on.
Two restarts, one modem reboot and 36 simultaneously running MLB.com Virtual Waiting Room browser windows later, it all worked out.
Late August. Final Sox vs. Yankees home game. Sox (hopefully) making their stretch run for the AL East. Me. Kim. There.
Nice.
